What We Offer

Advice and Support

People with epilepsy are not alone. We are here to help you. Our approachable Epilepsy Advisor offers free, confidential advice and support to people, directly and indirectly, affected by epilepsy.

As part of the support service, our Advisor is also trained as a Total Mobility assessor.

For more information contact our advisor Esther Liddle on 021 888 293, esther@ewct.org.nz

Advocacy

Advocacy is a big part of our service. We support and advocate for clients at doctor’s appointments; with housing, employment, or schooling. This can be in-person, via written communication through letters of support, or remotely by phone or video link by arrangement.

Action Plans

As part of our service our Advisor draws up Seizure Action Plans for each client so they, their school, employers, family, carers or anyone else they may wish to know has a plan of action in the case of a seizure.
Each plan is specific to the person and their circumstances and contains instructions for others to follow to keep the person safe and help others know what to do.
