People with epilepsy are not alone. We are here to help you. Our approachable epilepsy adviser offers free, confidential advice and support to people, directly and indirectly, affected by epilepsy.

Social Activities
Feel a sense of belonging by joining for both children and adults. Social events are regularly held throughout the year enabling people with epilepsy, and their family/whanau and friends, to become part of our supportive community.
We also offer “life skills” courses such as “Living well with a challenge”.
In-service Training
Be informed about epilepsy and its impact on those who have the condition.
Topics include:
– What is epilepsy?

– Seizures: types/first aid/triggers
– Medication/non-drug treatments
– Psychosocial issues
– Living with epilepsy: keeping safe

Epilepsy Awareness Talks in Schools
Our Epilepsy Adviser is a trained teacher and is able to give interactive lessons and talks to schools.
Empower children with epilepsy and create an understanding of what epilepsy is in the classroom with an educational talk from us.
