A book that helps improve the quality of life for children living with epilepsy

Ariana and her family are learning to manage her epilepsy. In the process, Ariana finds out something about her friend Jack.

This sensitively told story aims to help children and families to realise that epilepsy is only one part of their life.

Following on from the huge success of the Epilepsy Waikato Charitable Trust’s first book, Ben’s Buddies, epilepsy advisor Maria Lowe wanted to create a book to help families managing an epilepsy diagnosis. She wanted to create a beautiful picture book that showed that, while epilepsy is an important part of life, it’s only a small part.

Sharon Holt’s sensitive story and Claudia Gadotti’s beautiful illustrations work perfectly together to create a book that achieves its aim.
